When you are at your gas grill, it is recommended that you use those long wooden-handled forks, spatulas, or tongs that are specifically designed for outdoor cooking. They are safer, and they are better able to handle the larger cuts of meat that we often use at the grill. Hot pads or oven mitts are also good to keep handy.

When turning or handling meats, use tongs or spatulas instead of a fork. Piercing meat with a fork allows juices to escape, making your meat less juicy and flavorful.
