For best results on your gas grill, you should plan to thaw all meat in the refrigerator first. This allows for juicier, more flavorful meats.

That said, however, very good results can be obtained by cooking your steaks while still frozen. If you do this, just remember to allow more cooking time after your initial searing.

If you’re time crunched, remember that your microwave oven provides an alternative for thawing your meat, although it is our least recommended method. Fish and vegetables can be successfully grilled frozen, because of their much shorter cooking time in general.
